Nexo has signed a landmark multi-year partnership with Tennis Australia, becoming the Official Crypto Partner of the Australian Open and the broader Summer of Tennis calendar.
The agreement also covers major lead-up tournaments, including the United Cup, Adelaide International, Brisbane International, and Hobart International.
The deal marks the first time a digital asset company has partnered with a Grand Slam tournament, highlighting the growing convergence between elite global sports and the digital assets industry.
Under the partnership, Nexo will gain prominent brand visibility and deliver exclusive fan experiences across Tennis Australia’s flagship events.
A central feature of the collaboration will be the Nexo Coaches Pod, which will appear across key venues such as Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena, and Kia Arena.
The branded on-court coaching areas are designed to spotlight the strategic thinking, real-time decision-making, and teamwork that underpin elite tennis performance, offering fans a closer look at the tactical side of the game.
Antoni Trenchev, co-founder of Nexo, said the Australian Open represents excellence and ambition, values that align closely with the company’s long-term vision. He added that the partnership reflects a shared focus on disciplined performance and strategic thinking, while also providing an opportunity to showcase digital finance tools to a global audience.
Tennis Australia Chief Commercial Officer Cedric Cornelis welcomed Nexo as the tournament’s first-ever crypto partner, describing the company as a natural fit for the Australian Open’s innovation-driven identity.
He noted that the Nexo Coaches Pod will enhance fan engagement by bringing greater attention to the collaborative and analytical aspects of top-level tennis.
The agreement builds on Nexo’s rapid expansion in sports sponsorships throughout 2025. Earlier this year, the company became the Official Digital Wealth Platform of the DP World Tour and secured partnerships with the Acapulco Tennis Open and the Mifel Tennis Open.
Together, these deals signal Nexo’s strategy of aligning its brand with premier international sporting events as it continues to grow its global presence.
