As per a press release dated October 9, 2025, Ripple announced a strategic partnership with Bahrain Fintech Bay (BFB), the Kingdom’s leading fintech incubator, to strengthen the development and adoption of blockchain and digital asset solutions across Bahrain’s financial sector.
The partnership aims to enhance Bahrain’s position as a regional fintech hub by facilitating the creation of pilot projects, proof-of-concept initiatives, and blockchain-driven financial applications.
Ripple and BFB will jointly explore solutions in areas such as cross-border payments, stablecoins, tokenization, and digital asset custody, leveraging Ripple’s global infrastructure and BFB’s local ecosystem expertise.
In addition to technology pilots, the collaboration will emphasize education, training, and knowledge sharing through accelerator programs, workshops, and local events designed to connect innovators, regulators, and financial institutions.
The goal is to foster a vibrant digital finance environment and encourage the integration of blockchain-based services into mainstream financial operations.
Reece Merrick, Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa at Ripple, said the partnership underscores Ripple’s commitment to supporting Bahrain’s growing fintech ecosystem.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain has emerged as a leader in blockchain adoption and regulation. We’re excited to collaborate with Bahrain Fintech Bay to build a robust digital asset infrastructure and introduce solutions like our Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin to regional institutions,” Merrick stated.
Suzy Al Zeerah, Chief Operating Officer at Bahrain Fintech Bay, added that the alliance will bring tangible benefits to Bahrain’s financial landscape. “By working with Ripple, we’re enabling more opportunities for experimentation, pilot projects, and talent development that can shape the future of finance in the Kingdom,” she said.
Ripple, which holds over 60 regulatory licenses globally, continues to expand its presence in the Middle East following its Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) license obtained earlier this year.
