Streamex, Chainlink team up for cross-chain gold token

Streamex, Chainlink team up for cross-chain gold token

Streamex Corp., an institutional platform focused on the tokenization of real-world commodities, has announced a strategic partnership with Chainlink, the leading oracle and blockchain interoperability provider.

Under the agreement, Chainlink will serve as Streamex’s official oracle and on-chain transparency partner.

As part of the collaboration, Streamex will integrate Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and Proof of Reserve (PoR) systems to enhance the transparency and mobility of its gold-backed stablecoin, GLDY.

The integration spans the Base and Solana mainnets, enabling seamless cross-chain transfers using the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard.

The company said that incorporating Chainlink’s infrastructure will allow GLDY to move securely between major blockchain ecosystems, improving liquidity, accessibility, and institutional adoption. Chainlink’s Price Feeds will also supply verifiable market data to support more accurate on-chain gold trading and collateral valuation.

According to Streamex, the decision to adopt Chainlink CCIP followed an extensive evaluation of interoperability frameworks.

The protocol’s layered security model, powered by Chainlink’s Decentralized Oracle Network (DON), has been used to safeguard over $100 billion in DeFi total value locked (TVL) and enable trillions in transaction volume since 2022.

Streamex highlighted CCIP’s ability to facilitate programmable, token-agnostic transfers and maintain consistent reliability through features like Smart Execution and configurable rate limits.

The company added that these attributes make CCIP suitable for scaling tokenized assets such as GLDY across multiple networks.

“Integrating Chainlink’s interoperability and data standards marks a significant step in bringing real-world assets securely on-chain,” said Henry McPhie, Co-Founder and CEO of Streamex.

“Through Chainlink, GLDY will operate with greater transparency, reliability, and cross-chain functionality, delivering institutional-grade trust through blockchain technology.”

Streamex’s long-term goal is to expand its platform beyond gold, offering a regulated environment for trading and verifying tokenized commodities.
